Development Lead – Permanent – Full Time 37 hours per week
The Risk Management Authority (RMA) is a Non Departmental Public Body which focuses on protecting the public from the risk of serious harm posed by violent and sexual offending.
The RMA has created a new Development role to contribute to a range of legislative duties with a particular focus on the RMA’s contribution to Education and Training, Standards & Guidelines, Policy, and Research.
The Development Lead will work within the Development Team and provide assurance to the Head of Development on key areas. The Development Team will provide advice to Scottish Ministers on behalf of the RMA and will work closely with the RMA Effective Practice and OLR teams contributing to Policy, Accreditation and Order for Lifelong Restriction functions.
The role has oversight and management responsibility for activities relating to the development of risk assessment and management in Scotland and will be required to lead and deliver on RMA projects in this area. The role is required to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships, and contribute to the identification and development of practice models, education and training, and standards and guidelines.
This challenging post requires a range of experience and expertise in the field of justice. The successful candidate will have a track record of working, influencing, negotiating and collaborating with stakeholders in the development of services, have demonstrable project management; and importantly, will have a sound appreciation of the RMA’s purpose, legislative duties and operations.

Terms & Conditions
The RMA offers excellent conditions of employment which include 25 days annual leave, 11½ days public/privilege holidays, flexible working hours and pension. The Development Lead is a Grade 6 post with a salary range of £41,768 – £47,161
